My Interests/Life

Monday, May 9, 2016

I'm 18 and here's a little story of my role models.

Today is my birthday! To be honest I don't feel any older even though being 18 is a pretty big deal next to turning to those double digits known as 10 and when you finally be come an adult known as  21. I don't know what my plans are for today besides probably going to get some food with my family after school. I'm pretty excited that I'm 18 now. It's one of those defining moments in your life that you finally realize that you need to grow up. Not so much physically but mentally. I believe that I will be more mature and what not but, I'll still have that kid inside me. I'll still be goofy and joke around and have the mindset of a kid sometimes because that's just me. I do realize that I really am getting older now and it's just crazy to think that I am, even when I have friends and family telling me that I'm getting old too.

I don't want to grow up to be this boring old person. Which get me to this thing...I want to rant about. I really look up to my role models in life which are my dad, my uncle and my cousin. They all have something in them where it effected me of who I am today and how it makes me bring out my inner child out.

My dad (John) is getting old to the point where I want to call him "Pops" but he has his responsibilities in life but at the same time makes time to have fun for himself and with my brothers and I. He'd still play with NERF guns with us, he'd race rc cars with us, and even try to dance with us from time to time. It's awesome.

My uncle (Punkee) is also getting old...but he dances for a living which was pretty much a dream job for him and he's actually living that dream or  you could say living the "Jream" if you get it. Not to get off topic if you don't know, my uncle is in a dance group called Jabbawockeez and they have a new show in Las Vegas called "JREAMZ". Other than that, he doesn't fail to bring his inner child out when I'm with him. He pretty much does everything I do, like dancing, playing kendama and playing video games. He's a kid at heart but gets his things done when it's crunch time. I just find that really cool that he's an adult and a kid.

My cousin, (Ronnie) he's just been that big brother figure in my life even though we weren't super close. When growing up I'd always be at his house playing video games with him. We'd be playing either Maple Story or COD killing hours of time. Later, when both of us started to get older I looked to him when it came to fashion, style and even music. Till this day I still look up to him for it to the point where I copy him in some way. I just find him really cool.

Anyways, not that many people know about this whole thing I ranted about but if you did read it...now you know!
